LWML Events
Our New LWML Officers:
Norma Horn - President
Suzanne Dalsass - Vice President
Norlene Konyu - Treasurer
Joy Ambuehl - Secretary

Events:  The new LWML officers for 2010-2011 were installed on Sunday June 20th.  Meetings will resume in September.  Watch the church bulletin for details.

Do you have any new ideas for LWML meeting topics or programs?  Please talk to a Board Member.

Coffee Fellowship:  We continue serving coffee and snacks after church services.  Could you help us? The money collected supports our Seminary and Deaconess students.  If you attend the 10:45 am service, come a little early and join us.

It involves either making coffee, setting up the table and serving after 8 am OR serving after 9:30am, putting everything away and cleaning up,  Can YOU help?  Please call Norma to volunteer.

Seminary/Deaconess Students
We will continue to support our deaconess student, Elizabeth Froh.  Darren Harbaugh, our seminary student, begins his vicarage in the fall, so we will look for a new student to support.

Report from the LWML District Convention
A new Mite Box goal of $130,000 was approved by Lutheran Women's Missionary Leagur at the Phoenix Convention.  Fourteen projects were fully funded by the 205 registered delegates with one more project receiving partial funding.  Additional projects were funded by Stamps for Missions for nearly $3,000.  At the Communion Service on Friday evening each zone carried a banner/baby quilt in the opening procession.  Oour zone's beautiful baby quilt was made by Pik Sugandha.  Thank you, Pik!  Norma Horn and Naomi Worlund were ORLC's delegates at the convention.

Large Print Quarterly's
Large print LWML Quarterly's are available for anyone needing them.  Look for the current issues on the information table in the Narthex of the church.

Have a great summer and be ready for an exciting Fall!  Keep on filling those Mite Boxes.

                                          Jesus Bless You,
                                                Norma Horn

Lutherans for Life
Our Redeemer has an active Lutherans for Life chapter.  Lutherans For Life (LFL) is a national pro-life, pro-family life ministry whose mission is to "Witness to the Sanctity of Human Life through education based on the Word of God." Lutherans For Life is neither a church body nor a denomination but a voluntary organization of "For Life" individuals.

This local chapter supports the efforts of the Pregnancy Counseling Center in Mission Hills and the Pregnancy Resource Center in North Hills.  The next LALFL meeting is listed in the Calendar link.
